An upcoming, ambitious new massive multiplayer game from Snail Games USA.  For the Stars invites players to explore and settle diverse planets to uncover the answer to the greatest question of all: How did we get here?

Game Designer

Responsibilities

Formerly a Game Designer for Snail Games USA

  • Work in Unreal Engine 5 to help develop in-house tools and develop content for the game.

  • Work with QA team to gather information about incoming issues and bugs to determine priority and resolutions.

  • Design, document, present, implement and test new, exciting gameplay systems and mechanics for the game.

  • Collaborate with community teams in providing information and creating promotional content such as a Dev QnA.

  •  Use and iterate on in-house tools for level/map layout of the initial Player Hub Area

  • Collaborated with engineering to prototype gameplay systems specifically combat (Shooting/gunplay and abilities) and weapon crafting and customization.

  • Created the framework for Design Documentation and format and presentation of gameplay designs for upper leadership

  • Assisted in directing concept and 3D artists in creating art assets that meet the quality standard and the theme of the game
